Heavenly chocolade I is part of a series of 3 painting done for an exhibition accompanying the "Woordfees" in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Every Year, beginning of March, the afrikaans language is celebrated through all the art forms, theatre, music, literature, poetry and the visual arts.

This years motto is "Heavenly", open to all interpretations.......

Blue Hydrangea

My blue hydrangea has a very intense hue this summer thanks to all the used teabags I dug into the soil- a very happy plant indeed!

I am always intrigued by the intrinsic arrangement of blossoms in this amazing flower!

Here in South Africa we call Hydrangeas "Christmas Roses" because they are at the height of their beauty und everyone uses them for christmas decoration in one way or the other!
