I just cannot say no to them, they are looking too divine on the tree, cool and fresh after the rain.

I like this arrangement of form and line and it's simplicity in many ways.

The colours speak of  freshness, sunshine, joy, friends and holiday...........

White Still Life II

This is my second still life I have ever done and dates back a few years and is still in my possession. It is painted from real life. I do love the composition, the clear lines and the very much "Giorgio Morandi" look.

Wild Protea

I got this beautiful alabaster green protea from one of my clients who grow them on their farm in Stellenbosch. Proteas as beautiful as they are in their own right- I love the bearded variety with their fury and velvety petals- are in principle rather rigid flowers.

The original idea was to offset the flower with a neutral background in interesting different white's,but I felt compelled to go for vivid colour with a palette knife!

I like the result....
