The 2nd painting out of my summer 2012/13 hydrangea series. This red one, the heat nearly killed, is cut down to stalks at the moment and hopefully will revitalize in winter with all the rain!

Blue Hydrangea

My blue hydrangea has a very intense hue this summer thanks to all the used teabags I dug into the soil- a very happy plant indeed!

I am always intrigued by the intrinsic arrangement of blossoms in this amazing flower!

Here in South Africa we call Hydrangeas "Christmas Roses" because they are at the height of their beauty und everyone uses them for christmas decoration in one way or the other!

Two Aubergines

I love painting aubergines, I truly love their colour and sheen!

With these ones I was lucky enough to find them with quite a bit of a stem, which is hairy and rough, a lovely contrast!

50's blue glass with lime

In the end I discovered again those old real 50's tumblers at the back of the kitchen cupboard and immediately was hooked and fully enjoyed this painting.......
