Three Pomegranates

10x20
oil on canvas
SOLD

When I saw these very fresh and red pomegranates, I couldn't resist! They were just asking to be painted! The old piece of rotten wooden fencepole gives a nice contrast too and it allows me to use my grumbacher cobalt green which I have for years and never really used it!
Above all, it is the first in "Red Ribbon Mania" !

Persimmons

8x8
oil on canvas
SOLD

The other day I found these wonderful persimmons at the local fresh food market and decided to give it a go at painting them. I love the soft and close in tone colouring of the background and foreground with the intense colour of the persimmon.
